Kent Wedding Photographer
My name is Tom, and I am Kent wedding photographer who knows how to do things differently. My goal is to capture the unique spirit of the day and document the most meaningful aspects of your wedding as it happened. By working with you and truly understanding what you and your partner want to convey and capture, I can help you remember the best moments of your day through my natural style of wedding photography.
Reportage Wedding Photographer Kent
Wedding photography is deceptively difficult to do well, in fact too many Kent wedding photographers out there think that reportage wedding photography is just a matter of snapping a few black and white shots of the crowd and a close up of the bride’s shoes. While these shots can be nice to have, they do not have the timeless and authentic feel that a truly skilled Kent wedding photographer can create.
Kent Documentary Wedding Photographer
I never try to pop out of the woodwork and ‘catch people off guard’ in order to capture authentic, honest and candid wedding shots (the approach applied by many photographers). I simply don’t need to. Instead, I blend in seamlessly with your friends and family and experience the day just as one of your guests. This helps me understand the spirit of the day far better than any ‘candid’ photographer could dream of doing and produce my trademark documentary wedding photography (aka wedding reportage).
Kent Wedding Venues
I always arrive to Kent wedding venues early so that I can assess the space, weather and lighting in preparation to creating photos. By arriving early, I take the stress off of the shoulders of the bride and groom – you can rest assured that I have everything under control. I have extensive experience as a Kent wedding photographer, and so I know many of the most special local venues very well.
Some of the most popular Kent wedding venues book up very far in advance, so it is important that you secure your favourite space as soon as possible. If you want advice or guidance, I am always happy to provide you with my experiences, ideas and opinions.
There are hundreds of beautiful wedding venues spread across the entire county of Kent and I have experience of creating natural wedding photos at many of them, but I am always happy to take on the challenge of working in a new space.
By far, one of the most desirable Kent wedding venues is Leeds Castle. Surrounded by more than 500 acres of lush green parklands and gardens, there are countless places to nip away and take some exceptional couples portraits before or after your ceremony. If you are looking for something a little more exotic (to the tune of a few giraffes as your guests), you might consider Port Lympne Wild Animal Park. Situated on more than 600 acres of protected parkland, it is home to big cats, primates and gorillas.
No matter which Kent wedding venue you choose, it is always a good idea to book as far in advance as possible. If you need any guidance or advice, on venues or pictures, I am always happy to help.
