As a London wedding photographer, I've been lucky enough to photograph a few weddings at Chelsea Old Town Hall. Whether you're trying to plan a wedding on a budget, or want a stylish, retro wedding venue, Chelsea Old Town Hall covers a lot of bases. It has loads of character, some wonderful period touches, and can cater to a variety of sizes of weddings.
As a wedding photographer, every venue you work in can present challenges, as well as advantages. On this score, Chelsea Old Town Hall is no different, but there are some big windows (always good for predominantly natural light wedding photographers), and lovely arches and nooks and crannies, and all those quirky, neo-classical details that make for a great London wedding venue.
Being based in Chelsea/Kensington, it's a relatively easy to reach venue, and the options for nearby classy settings for your wedding reception. Plus, with it being based in a posh area of London, it gives that extra caché without the resulting price tag!
Having shot a few weddings there, and having some personal history attached to it as well (my parents got married there), I can say that I have a lot of affection for Chelsea Old Town Hall, and think it's definitely worth consideration as a wedding venue.
