Old Marylebone Town Hall Wedding Photography

Photography this beautiful London wedding at The Old Marylebone Town Hall, followed by the Zetter Townhouse was an absolute pleasure. Intimate or smaller weddings are often more emotional than the larger ones, and this wedding was no different.

Kay and Mark had a super small ceremony with two witnesses. Although it was a smaller wedding than I usually photograph, I was amazed at how much emotion, fun and beauty was present throughout the day. It turns out that what they said was true – small is beautiful!

Kay and Mark got ready with their witnesses at their flat in west London. It may have rained (classic London), but the weather didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits! The champagne flowed almost as liberally as the laughter and Sandi – Kay and Mark’s miniature dachshund – was at the heart of the action as her owners’ wedding day got underway in style.

Kay and Mark are Scottish but love living in London, so getting married at a quintessentially and historically London venue like the Old Marylebone Town Hall was a perfect choice. Social distancing and masks might have affected the ceremony, but for these guys, the emotions were present constantly. It turns out that love can overcome anything, and this wedding ceremony was proof!

Even as the skies were grey throughout the day (classic London), the rain and clouds did nothing to dampen Kay and Mark’s enthusiasm, and we headed out into the surrounding area to take some relaxed portraits. I always emphasise making these fun, and Kay and Mark have a great way with each other, so I just put them in place, composed the picture, and clicked away! The streets around the town hall are a haven of Mews and London-esque touches, with cobblestones, urban texture, and beautiful architecture never far away.

After that, it was off for some drinks with a tiny group of friends at the Zettor Townhouse, followed by an intimate dinner for two at Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester. It turns out that a great couple, beautiful wedding venues, and the human spirit can make any day special, and Kay and Mark’s wedding will live long in the memory!
