Cambridge Cottage Kew Gardens Wedding Photography

Paul and Fiona’s awesome wedding at Cambridge Cottage in Kew Gardens was more or less a dream to photograph, and it made me happy to be able to say that I am now a Kew Gardens wedding photographer! Paul had actually proposed to Fiona at Kew Gardens, and they live close by, so it seemed only right that they would get married there, on a hot and sunny day, that, thanks to a few rainy spells seemed to run the full spectrum of weather, and the emotions were similarly concentrated and profound.

Fiona got ready at the nearby Coach and Horses Hotel with her bridesmaids, and with such a chilled atmosphere, it was hard to tell that there were any kind of pre-wedding nerves. It was pretty special when Fiona’s dad saw her in her dress for the first time, and his reaction showed how close they are.

Nearby, Paul and his ushers got ready at their flat, and some gentle banter flowed back and forth. Paul seemed so relaxed that it was almost a surprise that he burst into tears when first seeing Fiona walking towards him down the aisle. I guess that love can do that to a person! It was telling how much Paul is loved by his friends and family that everyone saw it for the sweet moment it was, and it just helped set the tone for a beautiful ceremony that showed how happy they are as a couple.

With the elegant and beautiful surroundings of Kew Gardens, we escaped for some relaxed portraits around the amazing grounds, but after some hilarious speeches, and a musical performance by one of Paul’s best men, and his sister, the dance floor really kicked off, and it was amazing to be in the midst of it!

It truly is a privilege to photograph people in love for a living, and this day was one that will live long in the memory. All the best, Paul and Fiona!
