Bluebird Restaurant Wedding Photography
Bluebird is Chelsea at its most glamorous — a Grade II listed Art Deco landmark on the King’s Road, with a courtyard that feels like a secret garden dropped into the city. Between the greenery outside and the stylish rooms within, your photos get variety without going anywhere.
I love the way a Bluebird wedding moves — drinks in the courtyard, dinner in one of the elegant spaces upstairs, dancing into the night. I drift through it all unnoticed, catching the moments you’ll actually want to remember, and I know exactly when the courtyard light is at its best for a few relaxed portraits.

The History of Bluebird Restaurant
The Bluebird Restaurant in Chelsea, London has a rich history, making it a favoured wedding venue amongst many. Situated on the renowned King’s Road, the establishment is a Grade II listed building designed by the acclaimed architect Robert Sharp, and was built in the early 20th century. Originally, the site served as a prominent garage, housing the cars by the Bluebird Motor Company, as well as Malcolm Campbell’s iconic Bluebird racing vehicles. In the mid-1920s, Campbell, a British racing motorist and speed record breaker, chose the name ‘Bluebird’ for his vehicles as a good luck charm. Years later in the 1990s, the building evolved from its roots in motoring history, transitioning into the lifestyle and dining destination that we see today. It was named the ‘Bluebird’ in honour of its preceding era. The transformation fused history with modern aesthetics, appealing to a fresh, cosmopolitan clientele. Offering stylish decor, a glamorous ambiance, and quality dining, the Bluebird Restaurant is now a celebrated and much sought-after venue for weddings.
