Tanner Warehouse Wedding Photography
Tanner Warehouse is Bermondsey’s industrial heart — a 19th-century leather tannery turned wedding venue, all exposed brick, weathered beams and loft-style openness minutes from Tower Bridge. It’s urban, warm and effortlessly cool in photographs.
I love how honest this space is — nothing faux, just beautiful old materials and the people you love filling it. I document the day as it unfolds, and when it’s time for portraits, Bermondsey Street’s cobbles and converted warehouses give us characterful backdrops a short stroll away.

The History of Tanner Warehouse
Tanner Warehouse is a highly sought-after wedding venue located in the diverse locality of Southwark, London. This remarkable establishment boasts a rich and intriguing history dating back to the 19th century. Initially, it served as a tannery, a place where animal skins were processed into leather. Steeped in industrial heritage, the warehouse was an emblem of Southwark’s burgeoning tanning industry. As the tanning industry dwindled, the warehouse stood idle, a fading symbol of a bygone era. However, in the late 20th century, the building’s potential was recognised by the Camm & Hooper Company. In 2015, it underwent an extensive refurbishment that married modern architectural design with the building’s original industrial features, transforming the warehouse into a unique event space. Preserving its intrinsic historical appeal, the venue now boasts elements like exposed brick walls and wooden beams. Now, Tanner Warehouse is not just a living echo of Southwark’s past but also a bustling contemporary event space that offers an unconventionally charming setting for nuptial celebrations. Its continuing evolution testifies to its adaptability and enduring character.
